On-site Mediation Team support will be available this year.

Located at Queeries every day from 1pm-6pm

August 12, 2026

Campout is a beautiful weekend of queer togetherness, but also a rollercoaster of emotions and dynamics. The queer spectrum covers many identities and experiences – bringing together so many different people is bound to create conflict and tension at times. We all understand that this is not a perfect space – instances of harassment, discrimination, and sexual assault have happened and may happen in the future.

In an effort to begin to address and create accountability around these instances, we are bringing on a team of incredible queer, BIPOC clinically licensed psychologists and trained mediators who have deep experience in crisis and mediation. They will be on-site and available to all guests, artists and staff who need their support during the weekend.

In the event that you have encountered incidents of discrimination or conflict with other campers that you cannot resolve on your own or with a group of people that you have attended with; visit Queeries (Main Camp) between the hours of 1pm-6pm, Thursday through Sunday, to talk to a mediator.

Our goal is to create accountability processes for harassment and discrimination in real-time this year, including escalation paths, and we ask for your patience as these evolve. While we cannot guarantee resolution for all issues, we can promise to listen and support you, offer confidentiality and no retaliation.

We take sexual assault very seriously. If you are assaulted, please contact our Wellness team first. They are available nearly around the clock. Our therapists will be available between 1pm and 6pm every day for further support.

Campout is what WE make it. We all bring with us our own stories and experiences. But we also have the ability to bring our intention. Be intentional in this space and treat each other with kindness and care this weekend.
